Commencement of New Position at Murdoch University
My tenure as Head of School of the School of Law at the University of New England (UNE) officially came to an end with the new year 2012 coming in. My time at UNE in Armidale was just wonderful and I would like to thank my former colleagues at UNE for this great experience, for their collegiality and friendship. I am proud that I will remain affiliated with the Law School at UNE as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
With the doors of Murdoch University open again after the Christmas shut-down I commenced my new position as Dean and Professor of Law at the Law School of Murdoch University. I am looking forward to get to know my new colleagues and the Law School as quickly as possible and to the new challenges that lie ahead.

Bond University
"Globalisation, the Global Financial Crisis and the Reinvention of the State" was a conference held at Bond University on 28, 29 July 2011 and presented by Faculty of Law in association with The Faculty of Business, The Centre for Law Governance and Public Policy, The Tim Fischer Centre for Global Trade and Finance, The New Zealand Governance Centre and the University of Auckland. Globalisation and the global financial crisis have caused us to question the modern role of the state, particularly the regulatory state. Have we now seen the end of globalisation or merely the end of the first chapter? What are the lessons to be learned? I gave a paper on "The EU and the Member States: Germany and Supranationalism in Times of Financial Crises". More information HERE.
